Indian Education and Universities

Best Universities of India
Education in India
India has often been linked with phenomenon such as ‘brain drain’ and has been seen as a country where most of the students go internationally to pursue studies. However, in recent years this outlook has changed and students from around the globe are considering India as a preferred choice for pursuing higher education. Indeed, as per a report published in 2012 by the Institute of International education, India ranks 11th in terms of the most popular choice among US students abroad.

With the tag of second largest populated country in world (after china), and a fast paced and even-more potent economy, it is not surprising that India’s education system has seen a paradigm shift in the last few decades to cater to the changing educational needs.

Such being the scenario, India has claimed to be one of the largest higher education systems in the world and perhaps one of the most complicated, to the outsiders. There are thousands of universities and colleges, catering to different specialisations and origins, some state-run, others privately aided.
